Boys and Girls remind your parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles and other close family friends that we collect BoxTops in our classroom. Ms. Hudson will use these to purchase many supplies and necessary equipment through out the year. So bring them in for "Meet The Teacher" and I will have a special treat for you!!  Thanks for helping out in our classroom already!!

Welcome to First Grade!!

Hi boys and girls I am so excited about this new school year with you. I hope you make plans to attend Joyce Bullock's first ever "Back to School Bash". This is a big party at Joyce Bullock where you can come and find out who your teacher is this year, get a supply list (some teachers have their own supply list), play some neat games and even eat dinner. This event will be held on Tuesday, August 13th from 5-7 pm and will be help in our lunchroom. Also, our annual "Meet the Teacher" will be held on Friday, August 16th from 12-2pm. You can come to your new classroom and take a look around, bring in your supplies and even find your cubby. I look forward to seeing you at these events. Enjoy the rest of your summer and I will see you very, very soon.

Thank You!

Thank you so much to all of you who came to "Meet the Teacher". It was so exciting to get to meet you and your child. I am really looking forward to wonderful things happening this year for each of your children. I also wanted to remind you that our Parent Night and Open House for our class will be this Tuesday, August 21st at 6:00. You can park in the back of the school by the football field if you like. I will make sure to leave the back door to Building 6 open so you don't have to walk all the way from the front of the school! I will be covering a lot of material so please make sure you try to attend. This meeting can sometimes be very boring for little ones, and since we will be the only ones on campus, it might be a good idea to see if grandma and grandpa could watch them for an hour or so. Thank so much and I look forward to seeing my 19 new sweethearts on Monday morning!

Welcome to First Grade!

Hi Boys and Girls and Welcome to our First Grade Learning Jungle!!

I am so excited to get this new year started!

As many of you already know I am moving back to First Grade after teaching for the past 2 years in Second Grade. I miss all of my 2nd Grade teacher buddies dearly, but I am really looking forward to working with my old friends in 1st Grade again.

I am busy, busy, busy getting things together in our classroom. I will post some pictures very soon of some of the really neat things I have been working on. I have also been spending alot of time getting our classroom in order. It takes a lot of muscle to move a classroom, let alone get it all arranged and organized!

I hope everyone is enjoying their last couple of days of summer break and I look forward to meeting you all next Friday!
